Two versions of ‘The Batman’: Warner Bros. don’t know which one to release

Note: This article contains SPOILERS.

Just a few more months until the long-awaited debut of The Batman. Fans are of course very curious about what the film will bring to DC Comics.

Trailers showed a lot of new versions and interpretations of well-known characters. But we’ve been hearing rumors about what the future holds for a while now. Rumor has it that actor Barry Keoghan was cast just before the first trailer debuted. He would be playing a more significant character than you would immediately think. But now we hear varying stories about the possibility that it will actually be seen.

To see or not to see?
In the new newsletter from The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision, we read that “multiple sources” confirm that Warner Bros. tests with two versions of the film.

It’s about whether or not a certain character should be visible. The message claims that “the last test screening last week” took place. Now the film studio has yet to decide which version will be released.

Rumor has it that Keoghan can be seen as Stanley Merkel, a rather obscure police officer and partner of James Gordon who we could also see in the Batman: Year One-animation film. We also hear the rumor that Keoghan is playing the Joker.
