Two trains on one track got near Černošice, the collision was prevented by the driver’s reaction – ČT24 – Czech Television

The inspectorate has no information that any of the trains has passed a stop signal. “It was an unsecured, not an unauthorized ride,” said Drápal. According to the Novinky server, the passenger train and the express train passed a signal in Černošice on a green signal shortly after each other. After passing the passenger train, the operator had to change the signal to a signal prohibiting driving, which apparently did not happen.

The Railway Administration is dealing with an extraordinary event. “The train was stopped by a radio block. We are currently investigating the whole situation, “said spokeswoman Radka Pistoriusová. The radio block allows you to stop the train remotely.

Due to the investigation, the operation between Prague’s Radotín and Dobřichovice in Central Bohemia was interrupted, and the railways introduced alternative bus transport there.

It was the third railway incident this week: two trains in Prague Běchovice collided on Friday when a passenger train hit a stationary express train. The passenger train was traveling for passengers from the commuter train, which had previously knocked down and killed a man on the same line. On Tuesday, two passenger trains collided head-on near Pernink in the Karlovy Vary region. In the crash, two passengers died and 24 people were injured. In both cases, according to preliminary conclusions, the cause was human error.
