Two Rounds of the Park by Murray Shizgal is the new production on the Miracle Chamber Stage at the Military Theatre. The director Stefan Spasov and the artist Nina Pashova present a comedy about love, loneliness and second chances with the music of Doni and the choreography of Katya Tosheva, the translation is by Gergana Doinova.
In the first part, the actor Leon (Georgi Kirkelanov) and the policewoman Margaret (Polina Nedkova) meet by chance, but behind their funny encounters are hidden deep fears and loneliness. What can happen when two different destinies cross over a high decibel complaint? Laughter and sparkling lines fly through the air, masking the sadness and desire for closeness they both desperately seek.
In the second part, Eddie (Stefka Janorova) and Gus (Georgi Kadurin) are lost in the monotony of everyday life. They try to get the thrill back into their relationship through a series of ridiculous exercises prescribed by a therapist – Donnie, who gives directions from a screen. But instead of passion, they discover long suppressed emotions and hidden truths.
