Medication seized by the Ecuadorian Navy – ARMADA DE ECUADOR

The Ecuadorian Navy has seized a cache of two tons of medicine about 45 nautical miles off the coast of Esmeraldas in an operation carried out within the early hours of Saturday.
“The Armed Forces of Ecuador, by way of the Ecuadorian Navy, seized a ship with 4 individuals 45 nautical miles from the coast of Esmeraldas with 50 packages of managed substances (SCSF),” the Navy mentioned in an announcement printed within the social community
The detained individuals and the seized materials have already been handed over to the competent authority, particularly to the Ecuadorian Police, for the corresponding authorized procedures.
The medicine had been distributed in 50 packages wrapped in jute luggage and with packaging tape. As well as, eight drums of undeclared gas have been situated.
“Within the army operation, personnel and completely different naval means had been used, who situated, intercepted and subsequently apprehended three Ecuadorians and a Colombian aboard an artisanal fishing boat that was crusing with three unregistered outboard motors,” defined the Navy.
That is the third drug seizure made within the maritime area of Esmeraldas within the final two weeks. The earlier one was 3.5 tons transported in a semi-submersible and the earlier one was 780 packages of medicine in a fishing boat. In complete there can be about six tons of medicine intercepted within the final fifteen days at sea.
