The accident happened in Rosenkrantzgata just before 4 o’clock and the emergency services are on site.
It was a lone car driving off the road, and the driver was trapped. He has now been released and taken to hospital, says operations manager Ottar Steinstø in the Southeast police district to NTB.
There were two people in the car as it drove off the road and into a wall. The passenger, a woman from Vestfold, has also been sent to hospital.
The police are working on crime scene investigations.
Rosenkrantzgata was closed just west of Åssiden church due to the accident, but has now reopened.
In an update just after 5 o’clock, the police write that the car came driving in the direction from Drammen when it hit the crash barrier. The condition of the two who were taken to the emergency room has not been clarified.
