The Assistance Publique-Hôpital de Paris (AP-HP) and the publisher Maincare Solutions announced on December 16 in a joint press release that “two thirds” of the institution’s hospitals are now equipped with patient administrative management software ( GAM) and M-GAM * billing from Maincare, while the solution was deployed at Bicêtre hospital in Kremlin-Bicêtre (Val-de-Marne).
“After a two-year experimental phase, the project was widely deployed last year: 24 hospitals have been equipped since November 2020 and all the sites should be deployed in mid-2021”, announced the two partners, welcoming that “more than 60% of patients no longer have to go through the entry office”.
“This direct referral system has thus made it possible, during the epidemic phase of Covid-19, to avoid points of contact and waiting in entry offices,” they added.
Thus, during the months of September and October alone, “130,000 patients were able to go directly to their doctor with the assurance that the administrative elements of their files were processed”. And since January 1, “more than 100,000 online pre-admission forms have been completed by patients before their arrival in order to submit their documents.”
The choice of the M-GAM * solution by the AP-HP in 2016 aimed to simplify the patient’s journey by collecting before the arrival all the supporting documents of the identity but also of the health insurance cover and to improve the quality of invoicing, with maximum process automation.
