The families of two teenagers are living a nightmare, after both minors, with autism spectrum disorder, disappeared for several days in the Bronx.
Jason Ramirez, 15, and Danny Quiles, 16, disappeared under circumstances that the NYPD is investigating. So far, there are no clues about the whereabouts of any of them.
Our reporter Mariela Salgado, from Univision 41, went to a building in Marble Hill, where a photo of Jason Ramírez lies in the lobby.
“I can’t sleep. I don’t know if something is happening to him outside. I don’t know anything,” said Zoraida Ramírez, the teenager’s mother. “He can talk and he can ask for help,” she added.
The last thing known about Jason is that he did not take the Gotham Collaborative High School bus on Wednesday, October 4, because he asked to go to the bathroom while being escorted to the vehicle by one of the paraprofessionals, but he got lost among a group of students.
The New York Police later reported that a public surveillance camera, located near the school, showed that Jason Ramírez took the MTA bus BX5.
The youngest is 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 110 pounds. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing blue pants, a dark gray sweatshirt, and a white T-shirt.
Danny Quiles, 16, disappeared in the Belmont sector
Mariela Salgado tried to speak with the family of this second teenager with autism, but received no response.
Until now, it is known that Danny Quiles was last seen on Friday, October 6, at 11:00 in the morning. He is light-skinned, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 250 pounds.
When he disappeared, the minor was wearing a black jacket, jeans and black sneakers.
