Two boys in their teens were flown to Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen after a car drove off the road and ended up in the water at Moi in Rogaland.
The condition of the two is unknown, says Sørvest police district on Twitter.
There were three people in the car when it ended up in the water. One of them got out on his own and was notified of the accident, while the other two were retrieved by divers from the fire service.
Opposite Stavanger Aftenblad the police confirm that all three in the car are boys in their teens.
– There is no suspicion of intoxication. I can also confirm that the driver of the car has a driving licence, says operations manager Victor Fenne-Jensen in the Sørvest police district.
Life-saving first aid was carried out on the spot before the two were transported to Haukeland. The condition of the two has not been confirmed, but according to the police it should be serious.
The police reported the accident at 9.14pm on Monday. The National Highways Agency’s accident team, a crisis team and forensics technicians have been called to the scene.
According to the police, the road where the accident happened is supposed to be slippery.
Divers, surface rescuers, firefighters, police, ambulance, rescue helicopter and air ambulance were among the resources that contributed to the rescue.
According to Stavanger Aftenblad, the car must have been two meters under water when it was lifted up by a crane.
