The two young men, aged 16, were hospitalized. One was seriously injured by the electric current. They were on a freight train which was stopped between Drancy and Le Blanc-Mesnil in Seine-Saint-Denis.
It was a little before 8 p.m. when the facts occurred on Wednesday evening. Two 16-year-old teenagers were electrified, that is to say crossed by an electric current.
They were hospitalized. One of them, in serious condition, suffered from burns. The second is more lightly affected. According to the Paris fire brigade, there was an electric arc which could mean that one of the young men could have touched a catenary (which supplies electricity to the trains). But an investigation must make it possible to know precisely what happened.
About twenty firefighters intervened on the spot to provide them with first aid. RER B traffic was interrupted for more than two hours between Gare du Nord and Le Blanc-Mesnil.
An investigation has been opened to determine the causes of the injuries, said the Bobigny prosecution. She was entrusted to the Blanc-Mesnil police station.
