According to the police source who was at the scene, in the 116 ST & Frederick Douglass BLVD, both victims were inside the restaurant Mama’s fried chicken, at about 8:40 pm, when a suspect outside on the sidewalk recognized them.
At that time, the source said, the alleged gunman entered the scene and fired three rounds. The 17-year-old ended up with a gunshot wound to the head and is in critical condition at an area hospital.
The other was injured in the back and was also transported to a hospital, but his condition is unknown, the source added.
One person is in custody, police said.
