“Two Suspects Named in Fatal Ship Accident in Indragiri Hilir, Riau”

The police named two suspects in connection accident Evelyn Calisca 01 ship in Indragiri Hilir, Riau. One of them is the captain of the ship and the only substitute for the captain when the ship crashes.

“Two people have been named suspects in yesterday’s accident case. The initials SH and S,” said the Head of Indragiri Hilir Police (Inhil), AKBP Norhayat, reported detikSumatraSunday (30/4/2023).

“SH is the captain of the ship. When the ship crashes, S is piloted, he replaces SH,” he continued.

After being identified as a suspect, SH and S were immediately taken to the Headquarters of the Riau Police Headquarters in Pekanbaru. The case will be handled by the Riau Police Ditpolairud.

It is known that the ship hit a piece of wood and flipped upside down. This ship was recorded as carrying 83 passengers.

A total of 72 passengers were declared safe, but 11 other passengers died. Previously the police said a total of 12 died and now it has been corrected to 11 people.
