Two restaurateurs around Lake Genval discuss the aid they have received. And the difference is substantial.
Almost three weeks after their reopening, the restaurants are still trying to get afloat. The health crisis forced them to close for three months, while fixed costs continued to fall. For many, it was even necessary to invest in Plexiglas walls, gel dispensers, even visors, with a view to their reopening. Obliged to space their tables to enforce physical distance, they have not found the number of covers they could offer before confinement.
But, if all the players in the Horeca sector have received a premium from the public authorities, not all are housed in the same boat.
