Two South Korean companies cooperate for tourism development in Vietnam
Lotte Duty Free and Modetour, two South Korean tourism service companies, signed a memorandum of understanding on January 26 to improve joint marketing and promote the tourism market in Vietnam.

Lotte Duty Free and Modetou plan to jointly sell package travel products in Vietnam.
The two sides plan to carry out joint marketing activities such as advertising and use of social media services, while establishing close cooperation to ensure long-term development strategies and benefits for both parties.
In 2023, the rate of tourists from Southeast Asia among the total number of package tour passengers offered by Modetour is 53%. Vietnam’s visitor rate is the highest among Southeast Asian countries, at 44%.
Lotte Duty Free currently operates four branches in Vietnam: Da Nang Airport, Da Nang City, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) Airport in Central and Noi Bai Airport in Vietnam. Hanoi. In 2023, the revenue of Lotte Duty Free branch in Vietnam increased by 351% compared to the same period in 2022, including about 60% of revenue from South Korean tourists.
Lee Woo-yeon, head of Modetour’s sales department in Southeast Asia, said Vietnam is the most visited tourist destination by South Korean tourists, hoping to provide better service through this business cooperation agreement with Lotte Duty Free.
