The group Aventura completed the two recitals planned during his visit to Argentina as part of the world tour “Closing cycles”after inclement weather that forced the first of the shows to be rescheduled.
The band led by Romeo Santos returned to the country after his last presentation in 2016 and showed that Bachata is still more relevant than ever.
After the suspension of the recital scheduled for Wednesday due to a weather alert, thousands of fans gathered this Thursday at the José Amalfitani stadium to enjoy a day of pure Dominican rhythm twice, with production of Fenix Entertainment and completely sold out.
The first of the concerts began at 4:30 p.m. and The fans did not let themselves be intimidated by the heavy rain that was still falling on the city of Buenos Aires moments before the start, but it stopped completely when the band came out on stage.
The second show started punctually at 10:30 p.m., when Romeo, Lenny, Max and Henry appeared before the public to review their main hits.
“For his second” was the song chosen to start the evening, continuing with hits like “Solo por un kiss”, “The Loser”, “The Bad One”, “The Infidels”, “My Little Heart”, “Tell Love”, “Who Changed You” and “Sex Night”.
Separate paragraph for the historic hit “The wedding” and the moment long awaited by fans in which Romeo uttered his famous phrase: “I object.”
That same phrase was repeated on many of the signs carried by the members of the fan clubs, some of them with bridal veils in tribute to the song released in 2005 and composed by The poetry boy.
The leader of the band, 43 years old, was close to the audience and had a couple and also a young man come on stage who accompanied him to sing the mega classic. “She and I.”
That song that first became famous for the story of infidelity that the lyrics they sing tell. Santos and Don Omar as a duet, and then through memes on social networks (“May God forgive you”).
The reason for the collaboration of a member of the public to sing that topic was lack of voice of Saints, which began to be noticed after the first hour of the second concert had passed, due to the vocal wear and tear that a day of two recitals meant.
“I want to give them the best and continue, but as you can see…” Romeo said with his voice becoming less audible and more raspy.
He thanked the audience for their “compassion” and asked for help in singing the band’s classic classic: “Obsession”, the one that gave them international projection when bachata was only heard in the Caribbean.
Between little papers flying all over the stadium and the last chords of that song that teleported those present +35 to the 2000s, Santos closed his last show in Buenos Aires excited and kneeling in the center of the stage.
It was, perhaps, the last chance to see Aventura live as a bandsince after several returns and reunion tours, the intention of its members is to end the group stage, hence the title “Closing cycles.”
The tour that began in California on May 1 will continue in Uruguay, Chile and Colombia in the coming days, after having passed through several cities in the United States, Latin American countries and Europe.
