A 57-year-old motorcyclist and his 59-year-old passenger were seriously injured in a serious traffic accident on the Arlberg expressway (S16) near Innerbraz (Bludenz district) on Tuesday. An 80-year-old car driver got into the oncoming lane, grazed a semitrailer and collided head-on with the motorcycle. The senior suffered minor injuries, he was taken to the hospital like the 59-year-old and his passenger, the police informed.
The accident happened around 12.45 p.m. in the direction of travel to Germany. The car and motorcycle were totally damaged, and there was material damage to the trailer truck. The S16 was completely closed for two hours.
