The Canary Islands participate again in the Games of the European Islands, an event that takes place from May 24 to 29 in Galviá, in Palma de Mallorca, and in which the male handball cadet team will take part. Among the twelve players who have been selected by the Canarian Handball Federation, there are two components of the CB San José Obrero and who also had the opportunity to participate a few weeks ago in the Spanish Championship of Regional Teams.

Miguel Ángel Martín Duque and Daniel Martín Ramos are the two players from CB San José Obrero who have been selected to represent the Canary Islands team. Both participated over the weekend in the training sessions scheduled by Claudio Hernández and Jesús Mendoza, technical managers of the cadet team, and which took place in Gran Canaria.

The Canary Islands will debut on Wednesday morning, starting at 11:00 am, against Martinique, a match that will take place at the IES Son Ferrer facilities. On Thursday they will face a French team again, in this case Guayane. On Friday, the Canarians will have two games, the first against Sicily (Italy) and the second against a team from the Balearic Islands. And on Saturday, the last day of competition, the rival will be Mallorca.

CB San José Obrero wants to wish Miguel Ángel Martín and Daniel Martín the best of luck at the XXIV Games of the European Islands, being sure that they will take advantage of this new opportunity to prove their worth within the Canary Islands Cadet Men’s team.
