Two Russian Soldiers Killed During Parachuting Exercise in Belarus

MOSCOW – Two parachute personnel Russia died while practicing parachuting in Belarus . The exercise was held in the framework of Russia’s military combat readiness exercise.

“The doctor’s efforts were in vain and the two Russian contract soldiers died from their injuries,” the ministry was quoted as saying by the TASS news agency. The Russian Defense Ministry also said it was investigating the incident.

One of the Russian soldiers who died during aerial training outside Grodno tried to use his spare parachute to save them both. “One of the soldiers tried to stop their uncontrollable fall by using his spare parachute,” the statement added.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said it had sent an Il-76 military transport plane to Belarus to deploy paratroopers. The delivery of this aircraft is in the context of joint war exercises.

“On November 12, the Russian paratrooper unit will land at an unknown site in the territory of the Grodno region of the Republic of Belarus as part of a surprise combat readiness inspection of the Air Force and take part in joint tactical exercises with units of the Belarusian Armed Forces,” the ministry said. in a statement.

“After parachuting with parachutes and practicing, joint combat training assignments with Belarusian units, Russian paratroopers will return to their home stations,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
