Two suspects were detained in the murder of nine people in Volnovakha, which is located on the territory of the annexed DPR. The Investigative Committee of Russia reports this.
The suspects are Russian contract soldiers from the Far East. The Investigative Committee did not specify their names, ages and the region from which they came.
According to preliminary data, the Investigative Committee notes, the motive for the crime was a domestic conflict.
The murder of nine people, including two children, occurred on the night of October 28. The victims of the criminals were members of the same family, who had recently celebrated a birthday in a private residential building. They were shot at night while they were sleeping.
