In the 2023 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers chose Alabama quarterback Bryce Young as the first overall pick, while the Houston Texans made an unexpected move by taking Ohio State QB CJ Stroud and Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr in quick succession after a trade with the Arizona Cardinals. Panthers owner David Tepper believes that Young gives them the best possibility to win Super Bowls, stating that he has the highest probability of winning Super Bowls. The annual three-day NFL Draft began in Kansas City amidst cheering fans, including Super Bowl champions Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
