Alvaro Odriozola is tied to Real Madrid for another year, but may or should leave the club this summer. Two LaLiga clubs could position themselves.
Real Madrid are no longer planning with Alvaro Odriozola (27), and have been for a long time. According to information from the Defensa Central portal, the management level at Concha Espina is preparing for transfer negotiations with ex-club Real Sociedad and/or Athletic Bilbao.
Almost five years ago, Real signed Odriozola for €32m. The decision-makers are certain that this amount cannot even begin to be generated a year before the end of the contract.
Real would at least save Odriozola’s salary in the event of an early departure, which is around four million euros. The transfer fee is said to be between five and six million euros. In Madrid, coach Carlo Ancelotti no longer has a plan with Odriozola, who is no longer relevant at right back.
This is made very clear by his four appearances (78 minutes) in all competitions this season. And that although only Daniel Carvajal is used as a trained force on the right defensive flank.
