Monterrey, NL. Two police officers were executed in their homes by armed men who broke into their homes over the weekend in the municipalities of Monterrey and Apodaca, one of the police officers being a member of the governor’s bodyguard, Samuel García Sepúlveda.
This is a Civil Force police officer who was murdered on Friday in the Los Altos neighborhood to the west of Monterrey, who was part of Governor Samuel García’s bodyguard and was murdered due to disputes between criminals in that sector, authorities confirmed.
José Guadalupe Rodríguez Cázares, 38 years old, was assigned to the “advanced” group, which are the elements that arrive before the events where the Governor will attend, to verify security and logistics.
The victim had a clean record in the corporation, mentioned a police source close to the investigation. She stated that on the day of the events the element was still on vacation and on Saturday he would return to work.
As it was revealed, the police officer was murdered by men identified by his last name as The Estradas. Presumably, they are a criminal cell that operates in that western sector of the City.
They live in the area and last year Rodríguez Cázares identified them to authorities as those who shot up a neighbor’s house in front of his home.
The informant specified that the aggressors, who had quarrels with the uniformed man since that incident recorded on July 15, 2023, have been fully identified.
He explained that according to testimonies collected, on Friday night the victim ran into The Estradas and there was an argument.
After the altercation he went into his house, but the armed criminals broke in and shot him to death, then fled.
In the second attack on police officers, an Apodaca Police officer who was on rest was executed on Saturday night inside his home in front of his family.
It was confirmed that the deceased was a Public Security police officer from Apodaca, who was only identified as Baruch.
The crime was reported around 10:30 p.m., in a house located on Portal de Segovia Street, between Portal de Huinalá and Portal de Sevilla, in the Colonia Portal de Huinalá.
The first to arrive at the report of a shooting attack were uniformed officers from Apodaca, who upon learning that the victim was their partner, immediately requested the help of an ambulance.
There was a strong police mobilization of municipal elements at the scene, who carried out an operation in the sector to try to locate the aggressors.
While Apodaca Civil Protection rescuers who came to the aid, upon checking the victim confirmed that he no longer had vital signs.
It turned out that the uniformed man who was on rest had a gunshot wound to the chest, which would have ended his life.
Agents from the Homicide Group of the Ministerial Police interviewed relatives and neighbors of the deceased.
According to witnesses, the criminals arrived on a motorcycle and one of them allegedly entered the home to carry out the execution of the police element.
