The first period was even. The Arizona Coyotes started the best, taking an early lead through Liam O’Brien after 2.21, but Edmonton equalized through Sam Carrick after 13.05. After 15:06 in the second period, Matias Maccelli struck, played by Jack McBain and Aku Raty, to give the Arizona Coyotes the lead. 4:52 into the third period, Lawson Crouse pounced on passes from Vladislav Kolyachonok and Dylan Guenther to extend the lead for the Arizona Coyotes.
8.02 into the period, Edmonton’s Warren Foegele netted, played by Philip Broberg, and reduced Edmonton’s lead. But Edmonton couldn’t do more than that.
After 14:25, Dylan Guenther pounced on passes from Clayton Keller and Alexander Kerfoot to extend the lead for the Arizona Coyotes.
After 15:44, Sean Durzi netted and increased the lead for the Arizona Coyotes. That settled the final score at 5-2.
This means that the Arizona Coyotes remain in seventh place in the standings, and Edmonton in second place.
