The second season of theater banreservasdedicated to the producer and playwright Franklin Domínguez, began, according to a press release, with all its splendor in a bet that elevates theatrical work in the Dominican Republic with a program that displays a varied mosaic of proposals, quality and artistic value.
At the opening of this second season, two theatrical pieces were presented, one in the Sala Ravelo of the theater Nacional and another proposal at the Cultural Center banreservas for a night of theatrical delight.
“Todas las canciones de amor”, by the Argentine writer Santiago Loza, exhibited in the Sala Ravelo del theater Nacional, directed by Richardson Díaz and produced by Juancito Rodríguez, displayed the interpretation of the very first Dominican actress Elvira Taveras, who once again delivers a memorable performance in which she overflows with dissimilar tones, emotions and acting registers that show her evolution and her great interpretive ability.
The monologue that Taveras assumes with a marked commitment floods with passion and delivers each space in the room, set with a simple set design, created by Fidel López, in which each element counts, while the actress envelops the audience in a moving and captivating that portrays the woman in a human form, simply, as she is.
With a masterful performance, Elvira Taveras immerses herself in a formidable story, detaching everything from herself, her essential characteristic, her histrionics, her intensity, her voice, rhythm and each one of the gestures that make her feel in every fiber the execution of her character.

In the Cultural Center banreservas “Extraordinary Things” was presented, a drama by Duncan Macmillan, directed by Ismanuel Rodríguez and produced by Raúl Méndez, with the interpretation of actress Xiomara Rodríguez, a piece by theater for life.
A staging that exhibits a live art, of emotions and energies, that impacts the spectators not only by touching the sensitivity of topics such as depression, existential loneliness or suicide, but also by the dramatic and intimate approach with which the The actress manages to submerge and introduce almost all those present stationed in the room in her interpretive actions, turning them into direct participants in the piece.
