Two people were thrown from a speeding horse-drawn carriage in Tysnes municipality in Sunnhordland on Friday evening. They have been sent to hospital by air ambulance.
The injuries to both of those involved in the accident have been described by health personnel as moderate, the police said on X/Twitter at 11.17pm on Friday evening.
– What has happened is somewhat unclear, but something has happened during the drive which has led to them being thrown out of the carriage, said operations manager Stein Rune Halleraker in the West police district to NTB at 20.45.
When the police arrived at the scene, the two people were both conscious and awake.
– Now we have to find out what has happened, says Halleraker. The police are opening a case on the matter and are in the process of securing clues at the scene.
The police were notified of the accident at 19:58.
