A manhunt for an escapee from the hospital is underway. He is suspected of a double murder
The Lublin police are still conducting a manhunt for a patient of the psychiatric hospital in Radecznica. As reported by Radio ZET reporter Mateusz Kasiak,
Bartłomiej Blacha is suspected of murdering his father and brother. Yesterday he escaped from the hospital where he was admitted following a suicide attempt. The 34-year-old committed the crime in July this year in the Biłgoraj district. The man confessed to the murder.
– During the escape, he was wearing a black tracksuit with gray inserts on the pants and sleeves of the sweatshirt. The man may reside in the Zamość or Biłgoraj poviats – said Dorota Krukowska-Bubiło from the Zamość police in an interview with Radio ZET. Anyone who saw the man should contact the Zamość police.
Let us recall that on Monday, the Zamość police announced that at night 34-year-old Bartłomiej Blacha escaped from a psychiatric hospital in Radecznica, where he stayed due to a suicide attempt. According to the police description, the suspect is 179 cm tall, has blue eyes and short blond hair. The police and prison officers are intensively searching for the 34-year-old, both from the ground and from the air.
Blacha confessed to the murder of his father and brother
The horrific crime took place in one of the houses in the town of Zagumnie (Biłgoraj commune). In early July, the police found there the body of a 45-year-old man and an unconscious 65-year-old man – who later died in hospital. Both had serious head injuries caused by ax blows.
The victims are the brother and father of the suspect, Bartłomiej Blacha. The 34-year-old pleaded guilty immediately after his arrest. While giving his explanation, he said that he committed the crime because of a conflict with the victims. The court then decided to place him under arrest. The man faces life imprisonment.
