According to police, two people were injured in an accident on the A66 near Hanau in the Main-Kinzig district. There was damage of 38,000 euros.

Bad Orb – As the South East Hesse police headquarters in Offenbach am Main announced in a press release on Friday (October 20th), there was an accident on Friday evening around 4:35 p.m. in the Main-Kinzig district on the A66 motorway near the Hanau-Nord junction .

“A gray Mercedes was driving towards Fulda and probably wanted to move into the left lane,” reported a police spokesman. “A white Golf driving behind was no longer able to prevent a collision, so both cars were thrown across the road.”

According to further information, the two cars then came to a stop in the guardrails on the left and right boundaries. According to officials, the two 26-year-old drivers of the cars involved were slightly injured in the accident.

A gray Seat driving behind was damaged by flying vehicle parts. The police estimated the total damage at 38,000 euros. The officers ask witnesses of the accident to contact the Langenselbold police motorway station on (06183) 911550.

Meanwhile, a house fire in Dietzenbach in the Offenbach district caused damage worth around 350,000 euros on Saturday night.
