One person infected with the first Covid-19 flared up during the spring and now – in the fall – again. According to the SPKC representative, the person is an employee of a medical institution or nursing home. In turn, the other person became infected abroad in the spring and is now repeated in Latvia.
In both cases, more than three months elapsed between infections.
Re-infection with Covid-19 is extremely rare, a few dozen cases are currently registered worldwide, “Persmoshchikov” pointed out.
It was reported that on Tuesday, December 1, 690 new cases of infection were detected in Latvia, but 14 patients died.
Both the Minister of Health Ilze Vinkele (AP) and Perevoshchikov have previously pointed out that the spread of the infection is related to the fact that the Latvian population is lax in complying with the already established restrictions.
