The case is being updated!

Molde fire station has moved out with a lifeboat and surface rescuers who have initiated a search in the water. The search has begun after a report of a boat lying with the bow up in the water near Seterøya.

Sunnmøre police district assists in the rescue operation, but refers to the Main Rescue Center.

– Two people have been found in the water. Status is unknown. We are searching further with two helicopters, and with divers in the sea, rescue leader Erik Willasen at HRS informs TV 2.

He also says that it is uncertain whether there are more people on board.

– There is reason to believe that someone is in the water, but beyond that I do not have many comments. This indicates a relatively dramatic situation, says duty manager at the 110 exchange Kjetil Iversen.

At 2.50 pm, the duty manager of TV 2 says that there has most likely not been more than two people on board the boat.

– There are no signs that there have been more, he says.

Nevertheless, they will continue the search for a while longer.
