Two people died in an accident on a slippery road, part of the D1 motorway stood

Two cars crashed near Kostelec nad Černými lesy near Prague this morning. “Two people have died, two others are injured. One car apparently skidded on a slippery road and crashed into another, “said police spokeswoman Michaela Richterová.

The event was reported around 8:00 between Kostelec and Svatbín. The reason is being investigated by the police, it was probably related to the weather. “It was a side impact. One of the drivers apparently got a skid, “said the spokesperson.

Two people remained in one of the crashed cars after the collision, and firefighters rescued them. They did not survive the accident, two other people escaped with injuries. According to the spokesperson, the road is closed in both directions due to the elimination of the consequences of the accident and the investigation.

Today, the police recorded a larger number of accidents due to snowfall, mostly without injuries. People often failed to drive and did not adapt to the speed of the condition and nature of the road.

The D1 motorway near Brno in the direction of Ostrava was closed for about two hours this afternoon due to a truck accident, with the Nine Crosses exit.

The truck on the 176th kilometer of the D1 broke down this morning, broke through the barriers and ended up off the road. The motorway was closed in the direction of Ostrava to eliminate the consequences of the accident from approximately 12:30 to 14:30, after which it was driven in one lane. It formed a column of about ten kilometers. “The transhipment of the transported goods is still in progress. After a complete transfer, it will be necessary to rescue the truck with heavy equipment. It will be necessary to close the road again for the rescue, which will only take place in the evening, “said police spokesman Bohumil Malášek around 2:40 p.m.

Drivers and the snow on the D1 motorway are also alerted to drivers by the state’s Directorate of Roads and Motorways, between the 50th and 120th kilometers. At the same time, around the 90th kilometer near Humpolec, this year’s part of the modernization of the motorway has not yet been completed, and cars are entering there in a narrowing.

There are problems elsewhere as well. For example, near Předměřice nad Labem on the main road I / 33 from Hradec Králové to Poland, two trucks collided head-on on Thursday before 8:00. The road is passable. One of the trucks apparently skidded on the road and came in the opposite direction, where it collided with the other truck. One of the drivers was injured in the accident, he is in the care of doctors. The alcohol test was negative for both drivers.

Also on the D7 motorway near Buštěhrad in the Kladno region, a truck crashed this morning, the motorway was closed in the morning in the direction of Chomutov. “The driver did not adapt the driving to the condition of the road, no one was injured,” said Michaela Nováková, a spokeswoman for the Kladno police.

The event was reported around 8:30 on the ninth kilometer in the direction of Chomutov. According to Nováková, the semi-trailer lay across the entire motorway, the direction to Slaný was closed. The operation was resumed before noon.

There are also problems in Prague. All 73 spreaders designed for cleaning the most important streets drove off. Dozens of other techniques for cleaning side streets and sidewalks were sent into the field.

All equipment went into the field, which is 73 spreaders and 51 pieces of smaller equipment. “First-class roads are now only wet and passable without problems after chemical treatment. Work is underway on roads of lower order, in some places there is still a small layer of snow and they are passable with caution, “said Barbora Lišková, spokeswoman for the Technical Administration of Roads, after 9:15.

Roads and sidewalks are cleaned in several so-called orders. In the first, spreaders and plows will take you to the most important roads and sidewalks, especially in the vicinity of offices, hospitals, schools or railway stations and metro stations. They must be cleaned within two hours of departure. In the second order, road workers clean the remaining second-class roads and in the third order the remaining ones.

In the case of sidewalks, road workers primarily focus on access roads to schools, medical and social facilities or office buildings. It also clears snow from public transport stops, roads to metro stations and train and bus stations.

This is not the first trip this winter season. “In November, a preventive sprinkling was performed twice on the first-order roads, always at night,” the spokeswoman added.

The main problems were with trucks

In Central Bohemia, all spreaders are in the field. Prague’s integrated transport experienced the biggest problems in the vicinity of Štěchovice, Jílové near Prague and Černošice. Traffic on the 630 line between Beroun and Kladno was interrupted, similar to buses from Jílové to Prague. Other connections reported delays.

The traffic accident blocked road number 33 near Předměřice nad Labem. Two trucks collided, one of the drivers ended up in the care of doctors.

Trucks got stuck near the village of Žernov in the Náchod region and on the road number 14 in Nové Město nad Metují in the Náchod region.

A truck accident today closed the road I / 69 near Lutonina in the Zlín region for about four hours. “The accident went unnoticed, the breath test for alcohol was negative for the driver,” said police spokesman Petr Jaroš. According to him, the accident happened at about 7:30, from 11:30 the main road between Zlín and Vsetín is again fully passable.

“The cab of the truck went down into the ditch, the trailer remained on the road. The road was impassable, the vehicle had to be rescued with the help of technicians, “said Jaroš. During the two-way road closure, drivers could use the detour on roads I / 49 and I / 57 through Valašská Polanka in the Vsetín region.
