The victims were identified as: Rafaela Bogado Álvarez, 81, and Braulio José Andrés Roa Muñoz, 32. The incident occurred around 02:00 this Friday in an area known as “Achucarro neighborhood” of the “Renacer 2 settlement. ”From the city of San Antonio, informed Rodolfo López, a journalist for ABC.
Primo Montiel, deputy chief of police station 9 in the San Jorge neighborhood of San Antonio, said that when the officers arrived at the site they found an “impressive smoke” because the house where both victims lived is made of cooked material. “The neighbors managed to get the two people out, they did their best, but they couldn’t get out alive,” he explained.
Montiel indicated that uniformed Criminalistics and volunteer firefighters will be those who determine how the event occurred. There was also a pantry in the house, but only the bedroom where the victims were was affected. Both deaths were apparently due to smoke inhalation, since the bodies were removed intact but without signs of life.
