Two people arrested for growing marijuana in Erustes (Toledo) | Present

On Erustes (Toledo) the Civil Guard of Malpica de Tajo has carried out an operation against the cultivation of cannabis sativa (marijuana). Two women have been arrested there and a total of 790 plants together with all the material they used for their cultivationsuch as lighting, air conditioning and fertilization.

The BLASA operation began on March 17, 2022, when the agents of the Meritorious Malpica de Tajo Post, during a citizen security service, warned of a strong smell of marijuana on a street in the town of Toledo.

After carrying out the pertinent checks in the surroundings, a house was located in which the existence of a illegal connection to public lighting. Also, from outside the house, air extractors could be heard, appliances widely used in indoor marijuana plantations, to maintain optimal humidity and temperature conditions for growing this type of plant.

After several weeks of housing researchthe agents of the Malpica de Tajo Civil Guard Post confirmed the presence of two people in the home. With all the data obtained, the Court of First Instance and Instruction No. 4 of Torrijos granted the permit to enter and search the home, and the agents proceeded to arrest of two women27 and 28 years old, of Venezuelan and Colombian nationality, respectively, and with no record, for a crime against public health, another for electric power fraud, as well as the seizure of 790 marijuana plants and all logistical means used for their cultivation.

The Civil Guard thanks the citizens for their collaboration and remembers that the emergency telephone number available to the Civil Guard, 062, is available 24 hours a day.
