A serious traffic accident occurred between the towns of Sălard and Cauaceu in Bihor on Sunday evening.
The traffic accident was reported through the single emergency number 112 at 5:24 pm, on the 19E highway. Teams of police, military firefighters and medical personnel immediately rushed to the scene.
According to preliminary information, two cars collided and four people were injured. “Four victims are involved, three of whom are in cardio-respiratory arrest. The extrication team is proceeding with the evacuation of two people trapped in the damaged cars”, reported senior sergeant Alina Butaci, of the press office of the Inspectorate for emergency situations of Bihor.
Two of the revived victims could no longer be saved by medics.
“Unfortunately, despite the efforts made by the intervention forces, it was not possible to save two victims, a woman and a man, declared dead by the doctors. The other two victims, two men, were transported to the Emergency Reception Unit of the Oradea County Clinical Hospital, one of which is in critical condition,” Senior Sergeant Alina Butaci, of the press office of the Inspectorate for emergency situations of Bihor.
Traffic in the area is blocked.
“They are diverting to the municipal road 21, on the Sălard – Hodoş – Cauaceu route,” said Chief Commissioner Alina Fărcuța, a spokeswoman for the Bihor police.
