The Public Prosecution Service has launched a criminal investigation and has now also designated one of the two as a suspect.
‘Serious suspicion’
Police are not giving details of what happened and are only talking about “the serious suspicion that an employee used disproportionate force during an arrest.” The violence used would also have been reported ‘not or not fully’.
The two officers are not allowed to enter the police stations while the investigation is ongoing, nor can they access the computer systems.
