Two New Year’s concerts will fill the Juan Bravo Theater in Segovia with rhythm

Once again, and after the welcome to 2021 could not be celebrated in Segovia to the rhythm of the Radetzky march, the Juan Bravo Theater will once again accompany the arrival of the new year with two concerts that, thanks to the agreement between the Provincial Council, the Society The Philharmonic of Segovia and the City Council of the capital will take place on January 2 and 3, 2022, starting at 8:30 p.m., at the Juan Bravo de la Diputación Theater.

To record the agreement, this morning the president of the provincial institution, Miguel Ángel de Vicente, the mayor of the city, Clara Luquero and the president of the Philharmonic Society, Carmen Gruber, appeared at a press conference in the auditorium, at which The Strauss European Orchestra will be on stage to offer these recitals, under the direction of Eusebiu Sandu.

“During the last year, the Theater has proven to be one of the safest places to go, thanks to the work of all the Juan Bravo staff, who follow the security protocols to the letter and have been ensuring safety for all these months. health of its spectators, so recovering these concerts, which have always been very successful among Segovian society, was a necessity “, stated Miguel Ángel de Vicente, acknowledging that” despite the situation, since we are living the worst days since For months, it has always been important to welcome the future with joy and hope, and concerts like these have always been a guarantee of optimism and enthusiasm ”.

This was also expected by Carmen Gruber, who was happy to be able to sign again an agreement to which each of the parties contributes 4,995 euros to face the payment of the orchestra’s cache, and that will allow Segovians to enjoy a founded group in 1990 by musicians from Central Europe and Eastern Europe; something that, as Miguel Ángel de Vicente indicated “evokes the spirit of union, coexistence and harmony that we always try to convey to the public with these New Year’s concerts.”

Genre mix

The Strauss European Orchestra, which combines the most stereotyped resources of classical music with other more expressive, jovial and humorous interpretations, will arrive in Segovia with more than forty musicians and will also be accompanied by the soprano Stefanica Baitan. Thus, performers and director will try to remain in the memory of the Segovian public, as they have already done with the spectators of other Spanish cities in recent years, with a repertoire that brings out the festive spirit of the Strauss’ music and keeps alive the typical artistic expressions of Vienna.

Tickets for these concerts were put on sale on December 9 at the price of 20 euros, 18 euros and 16 euros, depending on the location in the room. Despite the fact that most of them have already been sold for both recitals, there is still some free seat that can be purchased, both at the Theater box office and at Tickentradas.
