Two New Suspects Arrested in Murder Case of Ubaya Student Angeline Nathania

The police have arrested two new suspects in the murder case of a University of Surabaya (Ubaya) student, Angeline Nathania. This new suspect has a role as the recipient of the pawn of the victim’s car from Roy.

Angeline was killed by her music teacher, Rochmad Bagus Apryatna alias Roy. Roy abused the victim in a heinous way. At Roy’s hands, Angeline died horribly. Her body was put in a suitcase and dumped in a ravine in the Gajah Mungkur area, Pacet, Mojokerto.

Head of the Surabaya Polrestabes Criminal Investigation Unit AKBP Mirzal Maulana said that his party was still investigating the case. Currently, it has arrested 2 new suspects. The two are M, a resident of Grati, Pasuruan; and S, a resident of Nguling, Pasuruan.

“We have secured a new suspect, we will convey his identity and initials later,” Mirzal said detikJatimSunday (11/5/2023).

Mirzal explained that the new suspect was the person who received the mortgage on the victim’s car. In fact, he gave Rp. 25 million to Roy.

“Yes, that (the victim’s car) was pawned by (Roy) Rp. 25 million. Two people have been detained,” he said.

Apart from waiting for all the paperwork to be completed, Mirzal ensured that his party was still waiting for the results of the autopsy of the victim from the team of doctors. After that, the police will carry out a reconstruction of the murder.
