The motley zebra crossings were recently installed at the Mozartkreuzung and in the Leonfeldner Straße brushed on at Ontlstraße. They are not intended to be just a visible sign for the LGBTIQ* community in Linz and symbolize tolerance, openness and equality, but also attract the attention of road users with the bright colors.

The work was carried out as part of the preparations for the “International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia” (called “IDAHOBIT” – International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia) next Tuesday, May 17th Initiative of the city councilor Eva Schobesberger (Greens), who is responsible for marking work. Also in Steyr and in Bad Ischl there are now colorful pedestrian crossings.
