In the last three days, according to the Public Health Directorate, two new outbreaks of COVID-19 have been reported in Caraş-Severin. Against the background of a small number of tests, the incidence of cases accumulated over the last 14 days decreased in the county to 1.31 per thousand inhabitants.
Today, January 31, a family outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 infection was reported in Vermeș commune. In this case, four people were confirmed with COVID-19, all of whom are currently isolated at home. The previous outbreak detected in the county was located in Reșița, within the RCS & RDS company. These are seven employees of the well-known company operating in the television, telephony and internet services market. The outbreak was reported on January 29, the measure of isolation of people confirmed with COVID-19 being instituted a day earlier, on January 28, inform the DSP representatives.
In the last 24 hours, in Caraş-Severin, 36 people were positively confirmed with COVID-19, reaching a total of 7685 infected since the beginning of the pandemic. From Saturday to this morning, within 24 hours, only 17 samples were collected. Official data on the evolution of COVID-19 cases in our county show that the incidence of cases accumulated at 14 days decreased to 1.31 ‰. In Reșița there is a downward trend of six consecutive days, reaching 2.16 ‰ today. Six localities, all in the rural area, have an incidence of over 3 per thousand inhabitants: Ramna – 11.86, Vermeș – 5.84, Ocna de Fier – 3.88, Carașova – 3.80, Văliug – 3.34 . We remind you that all these figures do not take into account, however, the cases of COVID-19 outbreaks.
In the last 14 days, 420 cases of infections were confirmed in Caras-Severin (excluding outbreaks), most of them being registered in: Resita – 182, Bocsa – 36, Caransebes – 35, Ramna – 19, Anina – 11, Carasova – 11, Oțelu Roșu – 10, Vermeș – 9, Oravița – 8, Glimboca and Socol – 5. There are 113 people diagnosed with COVID-19 in the county hospitals: 65 at the Reșița County Emergency Hospital (of which 9 at Intensive Care), 31 at the Caransebeș Municipal Emergency Hospital (3 at ATI), 3 at the Oravița City Hospital. The number of people from Caraş infected with SARS-CoV-2 who lost their lives rose to 410.
