. The health department announced two new coronavirus infections for the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district on Friday morning. This increases the total number of infected people in the Freiburg area to 2132. The district now has 1150 cases, while Freiburg remains unchanged at 982 cases. However, the overall figures remain very stable. For comparison: in the district there were only four new infections within two weeks, in the city seven new infections were registered with the health authorities in the same period. The majority of the patients have already recovered from the disease. Only ten active cases were reported for Freiburg recently. No new deaths were reported on Friday. In Freiburg, 79 people have died in connection with Covid-19 since the pandemic began, and 74 people have died in the district so far.
