Two cybercafé managers were arrested and referred to the prosecution by the Keur Massar Gendarmerie Brigade for blackmail, publication of obscene images on the net and blackmail.
According to the daily newspaper l’As, those named B. Gningue and B. Badiane, cybercafé managers, pretended to be women to taunt people. Their modus operandi was to download female voice software to call men to whom they declare their love, by sending them pictures of naked women. They also asked their interlocutors to send them obscene pictures where they are naked. And if a customer is unlucky enough to fall for the trap, hello damage! And let’s go for a blackmail campaign.
According to the newspaper, a youngster from Keur Massar was wired by the bandits through WhatsApp. The latter pretended to be women by sending him obscene images and told him in return to send them a photo of him, naked, to see it more clearly. An error which will be fatal to him. Because as soon as the photo is sent, the thugs ask him to send money so as not to be vilified through social networks. Without delay then, the young victim went to the Keur Massar Gendarmerie Brigade and filed a complaint. With that, Commander Badji’s men set off after the bandits for whom they are going to set a trap. Which will lead to their arrest. They were referred to the prosecution for blackmail, publication of intimate obscene images across the net.
