Two MS13 gang members were captured by the National Civil Police (PNC), in the Guayabo canton, Panchimalco, department of San Salvador.
These are José Israel Cruz Ortiz, alias Zombi, a gunman in charge of murdering those ordered by the ringleader, and Miguel de Jesús Durán Dimas, alias Monkey, a homeboy of the MS13 who was dedicated to extorting sellers and local residents.
According to investigations, the gang members are linked in a series of crimes that harmed dozens of families. In addition, during the arrest procedure, a firearm was seized.
The gang members will be prosecuted for the crimes of illicit groups and illegal carrying of firearms, while they investigate their other crimes, for which they will be taken to prison.
