For the second day in a row, the sit-in of deputies continues inside the parliament in an attempt to reach the election of a new president for the republic.
However, the paradox was that the Lebanese Forces deputies, Razi Al-Hajj and George Okees, joined the sit-in inside the parliament.
In the context, Representative George Aqis told LBCI: “My colleague Razi Al-Hajj and I came on assignment from the head of the Forces Party to show solidarity with our fellow protesters.”
As for MP Melhem Khalaf, he told LBCI: “Today we are in danger of a total slide towards the overthrow of democracy in Lebanon. We are facing a scene of suffering and groaning of our people.”
Khalaf asked: “Do we, as 128 deputies, have the right to leave our people without re-establishing the authority as soon as possible?”, pointing out that the formation of the authority does not begin except from the top of the pyramid.
