In the early hours of this Wednesday, two people traveling on a motorcycle died when they hit the back of a transport truck that was supposedly partially stopped on a national route after being detained by police officers. Highway Patrol for an alleged violation.

Patricia Ferreirahead of Public Relations for the Highway Patrol, told ABC Cardinal that the agents were not setting up a roadblock, but that what happened was part of “a legal procedure for preventive patrols to detect violations.”
The Highway Patrol’s version is that The stopped truck crossed a red light and was directed by the officers to stop on the shoulder of the road, at which point the motorcycle collided with the rear of the vehicle.

The prosecutor added that she ordered the arrest of the five Caminera agents “for their safety,” because The witnesses present “were about to lynch them”.
