Lithuania sent two more repaired German self-propelled howitzers “PzH 2000” to Ukraine, Lithuanian announced Ministry of Defence.

The ministry informed that the howitzers for Ukraine will be delivered with ammunition.
Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvīds Anušauskas informed in late November that Lithuanians are repairing two “PzH 2000” and after their completion, the number of repaired German self-propelled howitzers in Lithuania increased to six.
Since summer, a maintenance center for combat vehicles has been operating in Lithuania, established by two large German arms manufacturers “Kraus-Maffei Wegmann” and “Rheinmetall”.
The two repaired howitzers were originally delivered by Germany and Holland as military aid to Ukraine, which has been defending itself against of Russia invasion.
The ammunition comes from the reserves of the Lithuanian army. The Lithuanian army also uses “PzH 2000”. Lithuania’s Security Council agreed to supply ammunition to Ukraine in November.
The Ministry of Defense of Lithuania has reported that about two million euros have been allocated for the repair of military equipment.
