Two more boats bring immigrants to the coast of Alicante to 94 in 24 hours | Radio Alicante | Present

Twenty-one immigrants, more than two boats, have been rescued by Maritime Rescue in the last hours about 140 kilometers off the coast of Alicante, which brings the number of intercepted to 94 in just over 24 hours south of the Valencian Community.

According to sources from the Maritime Rescue, in the two boats that have been sighted and rescued there were 19 adults and two children and the precarious boats could not be recovered by Salvamar Mirfak.

These two units are added to another six intercepted since Saturday night with 73 people on board, including one on a Calp beach where four adults were traveling in addition to a mother, a father, the four daughters of 5, 7, 13 and 14 years of Algerian origin, who have even traveled with their pregnant cat, who is called ‘Mina’.

The others were rescued 70 kilometers south of Alicante, off Torrevieja (three precarious boats with 41 men, including two 17-year-olds and one 16-year-old), as well as another on Cap Blanc beach in Altea with 9 adults and one more in Benidorm with 9 Algerian men and another 4 of Nigerian origin.

All these people have been transferred to the Red Cross tent in the port of Alicante to be treated socially and undergo a PCR test to detect possible cases of covid-19.
