Two Moose Killed in Collision with SUV Between Evenes Airport and Bogen in Norway

Two moose have been hit between Evenes airport and Bogen in the 80 zone. There is a Forward tipster who has reported.

– Two moose have been hit. They have died from the collision, says Ulf Slettan at the Nordland Police Operations Center to Fremover.

There is only one car involved, and Slettan says that the police’s impression is that there was only the driver in the car.

– The person in the car has gone well, but there has been extensive material damage. The car is not drivable, says Slettan.

The car must be a large SUV.

– The moose stayed in the road for some time until they were removed, says Slettan.

Earlier this year, Fremover spoke to the head of the wildlife committee, Einar Klubnes. He then asked drivers to be aware of moose on the road.

– If you see tracks on the side of the road, you should slow down. If there is a moose danger sign, there is a reason why it is there. WE ask people to drive sensibly, Klubnes then said.

He also reminded that if there is someone who is unlucky enough to run over a moose, they must call the police on 02800. It is also desirable that the place where the collision occurred is marked so that the game board does not have to search when they arrive at the scene.
