At the entrance to Case-Pilote, on the RN2, this will involve maintenance work on the structures for protection against falling rocks, while the Roches-Carrés au Lamentin district, on the RD28, will be about road improvements. Two CTM projects, which begin this Monday, May 11 and are scheduled over two months.

Thus, work on the cliffs located at the entrance to the village of Case-Pilote (on the RN2, in the direction of Schoelcher / Case-Pilote) is scheduled from Monday May 11 to Friday July 31 (two and a half months). During this period, traffic will be reduced to two lanes, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and speed limited to 30 km / h on the portion of road concerned. In addition, the “Welcome” exit route, from the old Choiseul road, will be prohibited during the same time slot. The client also indicates that ad hoc cuts, lasting around twenty minutes, may take place during sensitive phases of this work, which aim to restore the protective structures installed against falling rocks.
On the side of Roches-Carrés, in Le Lamentin, it will be a question of consolidating embankments and carrying out road improvements, on the RD28, from Monday and for a period of two months. Less important than for the pilot site, these works will nevertheless impact traffic. An alternation by permanent lights will be set up during the works and a specific signage will be posted.
