Two minors have been arrested on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack in Belgium, the prosecutor’s office said on Thursday.

Young people aged 16 and 17 were detained on 31 October in the province of Liège. They are suspected of participating in a terrorist organization and planning a terrorist attack.
The suspects are placed in a youth protection center.
Belgium broadcaster RTBF reports that suspects have recorded a video promising confidence in a terrorist organization “Islamic StateThey planned to stab the cops.
The young people were detained before the attack in Vienna, where a man who was a supporter of the “Islamic State” killed four people on Monday night. The attackers were shot by the police.
Four years ago, 32 people were killed and more than 320 were injured in the terrorist attacks at Brussels Zaventem International Airport and the Brussels Metro in March.
Since then, the Belgian authorities have managed to prevent a number of terrorist attacks.
