NEW YORK – An argument over a person smoking on a subway platform led to a fight inside a train that left two men stabbed, police said Saturday.
The incident began around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, at the Line 7 station on Junction Boulevard in Queens. Police say two men saw a third man smoking on the platform.
The smoker got on a northbound line 7 train along with the other two, who allegedly asked him to put out his cigarette.
Instead, says the NYPD, the smoker allegedly stabbed the two men, one in the leg and one in the abdomen. They both got off the train at the 82nd Street station and called the police. The two victims are in stable condition.
Authorities have few details about the alleged attacker, who fled, and was seen wearing gray and black clothing.
