Two men were hit by firearm projectiles on Sunday evening in the borough of Montreal-North.
The police found a 23-year-old man at the intersection of avenue Armand-Lavergne and rue d’Amiens at around 7.20 p.m., said the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM ), Caroline Chèvrefils.

Suffering from an injury to the upper body, the individual was transported conscious to a hospital center and there would be no fear for his life.
A second victim, a 35-year-old man also injured in the upper body from a gun projectile, went to hospital on his own and is said to be out of danger.

According to initial information, a suspicious vehicle fired in the direction of the victims before fleeing.
The scene was protected so that the investigators and forensic identity technicians from the SPVM try to determine the circumstances of the event. Witnesses will also be met.

This accident occurred minutes after gunshots were heard at the intersection of Prieur Street and London Avenue.
Projectile impacts were found on a building as well as cartridge cases and traces of blood on the ground, the latter would nevertheless not be linked to a criminal event. A scene was also erected to allow investigators to shed light on the facts.
The two events are unrelated, the spokesperson said.
