The two individuals are suspected of having delivered deal points located in the 7th and 8th arrondissements of Lyon.
A member of the “Daltons” and a second individual were arrested Tuesday evening in Lyon, with 32 kg of cannabis resin and a large sum of cash. The drugs were discovered on board a vehicle driven by the younger of the two suspects, aged 28 and 31, according to the Departmental Directorate of Public Security of the Rhône.
Their arrest stems from a preliminary investigation opened after the collection of several testimonies. Investigators have established that the two men, very unfavorably known to the police, delivered deal points located in the 7th and 8th arrondissements of Lyon.
During searches, the police discovered several containers used to package narcotics.
In police custody, the youngest admitted transporting the 32 kg of cannabis resin on behalf of a third party, whose name he did not want to reveal, for fear of reprisals, the police said.
The oldest, who is the subject of a search form issued by the prosecution prohibiting him from appearing in the 8th arrondissement of Lyon, denied knowing of the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
The two individuals were presented to the prosecution on Thursday for a judgment in immediate appearance.
